In summary it is a nice apartment and the shortcomings were not the fault of the owner. They have white noise machines in each bedroom and this is probably why. Apartment C has bedrooms on the upper floor and the noise from the bars on the street was very loud up until 1am. We stayed 3 nights and by the time we checked out only one gate was repaired to prevent public access.Ģ. A joke as when we arrived both gate locks were't functioning allowing children on skateboards to come in off of King Street and play in the patio area (and yes we asked them first if they were staying at the 563 King St.

They have 2 gates in the common entrance area and patio area that are key code entry. This was resolved by the second cleaning crew coming in.ġ. Lots of dirt and dust on kitchen shelves, clearly hasn't been wiped down or dusted in a long time. Unwrapped candy left in kitchen drawer, again not resolved by second cleaning crew coming in.Ĥ. Dirt, dust and bottle caps down the side of the refrigerator - these weren't even cleaned when we asked for the cleaning crew to come back and resolve.ģ. smoked cigar from previous renter left on kitchen shelf.Ģ. Cleanliness of the kitchen area only was very poor. Even the cleaning crew on the day we left said the same thing and they have to pay and park on the road outside at time.ġ. There is construction going on all around and the contractors use these parking spaces. The parking was a challenge and although there are supposed to be 2 parking spaces per apartment on one afternoon when we returned there were one. The location was good for walking distance of downtown Charleston. You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Parking is available at the nearby Midtown Parking Garage. Parking Notes: Starting 1/1/22, only loading and unloading is permitted on-site.

Please note that beginning January 1, 2022, construction will be taking place next door and is expected to take a year to complete. You'll have plenty of amazing restaurants within walking distance of the home like The Darling Oyster Bar, Benny Ravello's, and The Ordinary anytime you want to take a break from the kitchen. The Charleston Museum and Children's Museum of the Lowcountry are both just half-a-mile away and filled with fun and informative exhibits that you'll enjoy with family and friends.
